Every Thursday
What is Blood on the Clocktower?
Blood on the Clocktower is a bluffing game with players on opposing teams of Good and Evil, overseen by a Storyteller player who conducts the action and makes crucial decisions. The goal of the game is to successfully deduce and execute the demons before they outnumber the townfolk.
During a 'day' phase players socialize openly and whisper privately to trade knowledge or spread lies, culminating in a player's execution if a majority suspects them of being Evil. During a 'night' time, players close their eyes and are woken one at a time by the Storyteller to gather information, spread mischief, or kill.
The Storyteller uses the game's intricate playing pieces to guide each game, leaving others free to play without a table or board. Players stay in the thick of the action to the very end even if their characters are killed, haunting Ravenswood Bluff as ghosts trying to win from beyond the grave. If you arrive late to a game, you can enter after it's started as a powerful Traveller character with unusual talents and questionable allegiances. Each character comes with their own special ability and no two players in a game are ever the same character.

Why play at Empire when free events are available?
Experience: Our Storytellers have been running Blood on the Clocktower events several times a month for over a year!
Community: Our Storytellers are great at running games, sure, but they have also cultivated a welcoming and respectful player community. New and returning players are both welcome and encouraged - and respect, well, the people who play at Empire respect not only one another's preferred pronouns and personal beliefs - but also everyone's time.
Flakes are a rarity, and we are usually notified in advance so that necessary adjustments can be made. You won't experience delays in the game due to half-committed people wandering around - we're here to play!
To keep your tummy satiated, we offer sandwiches, desserts, and snacks, as well as a robust drink menu including local coffee & espresso.
TROUBLE BREWING has a little bit of everything. Some characters passively receive information, some need to take action to learn who is who, while some simply want to bait the Demon into attacking them. Both good and evil can gain the upper hand by making well-timed sacrifices.
Trouble Brewing is a relatively straightforward Demon hunt, but evil has a number of dastardly misinformation tricks up their sleeves, so the good players had better question what they think they know if they hope to survive.
Beginner. Recommended for players and Storytellers new to Blood on the Clocktower or to social deception games.
BAD MOON RISING is a death extravaganza. Demons kill multiple times per night and Minions get in on the action too. Good players can take great risks to gain reliable information, but may accidentally kill their friends in the process.
Luckily, there are many ways to keep players alive long past their use-by date. If the good team cannot determine which Minions and Demons are in play, however, their doom is all but certain.
Intermediate. Recommended for players who are proactive, dedicated to working as a team, and don’t fear dying.
SECTS & VIOLETS is the craziest of the three editions included in the base set. Good characters get amazing information each and every night. However, the evil team is extremely varied and threatening and can throw massive confusion into the mix.
Characters change alignment. Players change characters. Even the evil team can lose track of who is who. This is also the first appearance of madness, which throws all manner of spanners into the works.
Intermediate. Recommended for players who want to do wild and unexpected things, pushing the limits of what can be achieved in a bluffing game.
Empire's CUSTOM SCRIPT night for Blood on The Clocktower! Our storyteller will be running a custom script, with mixtures of characters from the 3 base scripts and possibly experimental characters. This may be an original storyteller script or a custom one made by the community. Pay attention to our socials to see potential sneak peeks for what this script might entail!
This night is for players who are VERY familiar with the game and looking to get a little wild with what is possible in a game of Blood on the Clocktower.
