Came for the anniversary today. Wide selection of playable games for every sort of player imaginable, with particularly well-worn ones showing how many others enjoyed them before us. I had fun with the games I played, even though I walked out empty-handed. Eat and drink before arriving, though. I was far from satisfied with my café orders.

Saturday was my first time being here! It is so fun!! They have a great selection of board games to play and will teach you how to play them if you need that. The food there is so tasty! When you go, they will open a tab for you and charge $4 per person per hour and of course any food you order as well! It's easy to pay just for yourself though if your group wants to do that. Overall this is such an enjoyable place and a cool concept!

Great place for a date night!!!
100's of board games with experts help explaining any of the games. Walking you through simple or complex ones.
A delicious little cafe with coffee, tasty treats, or a variety of drinks!
A little intimidating at first with the overwhelming selections, but the board wizards always come to the rescue! -

We had a great time. Staff was eager to help explain rules and objectives. Great hot chocolate and coffee. They also offer snacks. Wonderful selection of games to play and purchase.

Very nice tables, staff is very helpful with game summary for a more informative selection process of a game to play. Cafe drinks and snacks on the pricey side, 5$ for average for most beverages/snacks, but not necessary for a good time.

Every time I come to work in Albuquerque for months at a time I always enjoy visiting Empire. My daughter and I get some quality time when she and my wife visit. Easy to pull a game and start playing. It doesn’t hurt that their chai teas are rock solid.

Adorable and fun little place to spend time with friends. Extremely reasonable pricing on both game time and cafe items. Super welcoming too, even if it's your first time and you have no idea what you're doing (like me). Plus, the organization system makes it easy to find games to play.

Amazing spot to enjoy board games with friends and family. And if you like a board game you've never tried before you could buy it if they have one available.

My friend and I only had a short window between meetings. We had a wonderful lunch here, but what was amazing was the staff. Trevor helped us select a game based on our wants. He mentioned we couldn’t finish it, but he helped us set it up and taught us how to play. In between checking in us he saw to other customers and made food. He made our experience there the great it could have been. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you Trevor!

An excellent place to do a trial run on that board game you've been eyeballing. The food and drinks are delicious, the atmosphere is cozy and the staff are very knowledgeable about all of the games and can help get you started without poring over all the rules.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. It's amazing how much they know about so many games. Speaking of a lot of games, they have a LOT OF GAMES. You won't believe the inventory; it's almost like you have to make a scouting trip before you settle on a return trip for serious play. For both those trips, I recommend their specialty coffees and a sweet snack. Parking in Nob Hill can be a little bit of a pain but definitely worth it for Empire alone not to mention other stores and … More restaurants nearby.

The workers are amazing, especially the owner. We came in at 10:30pm and then they closed at 11pm but they were not upset at all. We were welcomed in and told to stay as long as we wanted. We felt so bad so we only played two games. It was so fun. The snacks and drinks were good! I will definitely come back with my family and friends! ♥️ Please go visit and be considerate and courteous!
